So you want to be a rock 'n' roll star.
Well the first thing you'll need is a guitar.
On Wednesday afternoon a group of teens in Stratford found out how to make a guitar out of an old cigar box and a few nuts and bolts found in any hardware store.
Local musician Travis Brooks, a member of the Saltwater and Doc's Holiday bands, also makes guitars out of cigar boxes which he sells on his Facebook page, Mojo Factory. The acoustic guitars sell for around $150 with the electric ones selling between $180-300.
The class was filled with about a dozen future musicians ready to make their instruments to take home at the end of the day.
In little more than an hour, a simple wooden box, screws and bolts and three lengths of guitar string became an instrument for the would-be musicians for a creative and musical summer.
